Hello there! I’m MARISSA LANDEROS, I am the owner and baker at GOLD ORCHID, a COTTAGE BAKERY.  My journey to baking was influenced in my childhood and flourished from my talents in the fine arts I learned in college.

I grew up watching my aunt bake cake after cake and decorate them for a multitude of events; I even had some cool cakes for my own birthdays that inspired me.  These moments paired with my growing passions for the art of creating beautiful things is what led me down the road to begin baking.

I had enjoyed cooking for some time, baking came only in 2018 when I found myself baking pies on a Friendsgiving.  Those pies led to baking cupcakes for a friend, cupcakes for children's birthdays pies and creme brûlée for family events, etc.  Around this time, I had begun to iron out details for the bakery but never officially finalized it all.  

 

In 2020 I married to my wonderful husband, Luis, baked a cake for my friends wedding, baked some more goods for co workers.  2021 rolled around and I was pregnant with our first child. This gave me the motivation to start something I know I would be proud of, that I could accomplish while raising our children, and be able to show our children how to follow their passions; so I began the finalization of GOLD ORCHID BAKERY.
